After arrival on campus, all American Collegiate students, including those in the Pre-Sessional English program, are administered an English proficiency test. The results of this test will determine the student’s final program curriculum, which may require additional program time and increased costs.
1 Students with a 6.5+ IELTS score will be placed in advanced coursework uniquely appropriate for their language level.

Our transfer counseling program provides a unique framework for you to explore both academic and transfer options. Our dedicated advisors provide you with the tools and opportunities to make the best choices possible and will personally guide you through the transfer process.
- Activity-based sessions to help you identify what motivates you (interests, values, skills, etc.) and align these with your academic and transfer goals

We encourage you to begin exploring options for your Collegiate year at an early stage in the program. From experience, we know students are often overwhelmed by the thousands of university options. We help you decide where to start and make sure that you keep the process going so you aren’t left behind at the end of your American Collegiate year.
We will provide you with guidance on the realistic options you have and help you explore creative opportunities based on your original thoughts around majors. Your dedicated advisor will make sure that you are aware of any prerequisites and timelines so you can not only transfer seamlessly but also graduate on time.
